Sarah Gayle Plourde’s

“Looking In”

When asked to describe Sarah, friends and customers often choose words like vivacious, creative, a muse, or a whirlwind. This energy is reflected in the wide variety of mediums she uses for her artistic expression and in the subjects. She paints in many mediums (oil, watercolor, acrylic, gouache, ink), works with ephemera and other paper for mixed media work, creates beautiful white paper sculptures and works her artistic magic with textiles, up-cycling sweaters and knits into beautiful dresses, scarves, and coats of many colors.
The only rule for her work is ‘Make Beautiful things’.
Sarah was born and raised in Oregon, and has a great love for the diverse landscapes and ever changing atmosphere of the Pacific Northwest. After many years away in Europe and living on the frantic east coast, she is so happy to be reunited with the state she loves. Sarah and her husband Wayne have converted an old church into their home and studio, truly living out a beautiful creative dream.
